Backstage Performing Arts Competition is a National Dance Competition company touring primarily in the Tri-State Area.

We have been spreading our love of dance for 10 years. We continue to grow and add new locations each year. We want everyone that attends our events to feel like they are a VIP! Dance studios bring their dancers to grow and share their talents.

We pride ourselves in exceptional customer service and our goal is to provide a memorable experience to all that attend our events.

We want fun, eager and enthusiastic people.

Stage Management

checks dancers in once they are ready to perform. They will be dealing directly with studio directors and staff.

Backstage Runners

Will assist the person checking them in. Trying to make sure the dancers are backstage and performance-ready at their scheduled time.

Retail Sales Associate

Energetic with some retail experience but possess excellent customer service skills. Will welcome and greet studio directors and families.

Stage Crew

Truckload in. Stage and Competition production set up and tear down. Possible truck drivers. This person can do any of the other functions as well if they would like to stay and work.

Production Technician

Technical knowledge of sound, lighting, and stage production. Must be able to do minor troubleshooting and have a moderate computer and technical knowledge.

Floater/ Greeter

Will welcome all who attend and direct them to dressing room assignments. Must be enthusiastic!! Will be a filler for any of the other positions when needed.

Tabulator

Basic Computer Skills, must be organized, efficient and quick to troubleshoot and solve problems. Knowledge of dance is encouraged. Oversees the quick-paced awards presentation and deals with studio directors.

Clerical Position

Must be detail-driven and organized. Will be a contact with the public, therefore, public relation skills are needed. Must have knowledge of Word, Excel, Gmail, etc.

Marketing Specialist

Will facilitate the follow-through and production of marketing campaigns and ideas for the competition.

Awards

The setup and facilitation of a smooth awards distribution presentation.

Social Media

A fun and enthusiastic person to post on our social media platforms throught out events. Must be friendly, fun, and creative. Will have to interact with dancers and guests at events.
